AHH!!! I’ve been uber duber busy!!!.. with school, of course.

I’ll blog about what’s been hap­pen­ing the last week.

Thurs­day, 15th

There was a screen­ing of The Cove at the Cus­tom Hotel (beside my apt), arranged by Otis. If you don’t know what it’s about, it’s basi­cally about dol­phin hunt­ing and sell­ing in Taiji, Japan. It’s an awfully sad doc­u­men­tary, but raises aware­ness about the issue. For more infor­ma­tion, click here. I would rec­om­mend it to any­one that’s truly inter­ested in these issues.

The set up was actu­ally quite cozy — at the begin­ning. Car­o­line and I decided to bring blan­kets, as it was out­side. When night fell, I was freez­ing my ass off. Because the area is near the waters AND the air­port, the tem­per­a­ture is always slightly cooler than inland.

Sat­ur­day 17th

Sat­ur­day was inter­est­ing. I unwill­ingly ended up at the beach with Car­o­line. It’s a long story and one that shouldn’t be uttered much about. In the end my back got burnt. I don’t under­stand why peo­ple want to go sun tan­ning so much though..! It’s gross!

That night, we also planned out our road trip and booked our hotel in San Fran­cisco. I’m super excited!! It’s going to be amazing.

The week­end wasn’t all that inter­est­ing, because every­one was at Coachella, an annual music fes­ti­val in Cal­i­for­nia. It attracts peo­ple all the way from New York.. and prob­a­bly even fur­ther. Unfor­tu­nately.. I didn’t go because it’s $300, PLUS you have to camp out. How­ever, I can almost bet it’s a blast.

That same evening, I worked on my draw­ing and comp final project — It’s fricken huge.

Just imag­ine this dinky thumb­nail on that huge thing.

So I still have a lit­tle over a week left in L.A.. I‘m going to extremely miss it :(.. I hon­estly find myself much hap­pier being here at school, as com­pared to back in Van­cou­ver. Maybe there‘s just too many strings attached with going back.. but either way, I miss my friends and I need to go home sooner or later. I need to as well find a job over the summer !

Yes, unfor­tu­nately I am back in Los Ange­les. My flight landed on Sun­day after­noon to sunny Los ange­les. The tem­per­a­ture change from before spring break to now is amaz­ing. It’s like sum­mer! I had an amaz­ing time in Van­cou­ver, though quite tir­ing. I slept for 30 min­utes on the air­plane.. I didn’t get to sit beside a cute boy, but an empty seat.. and beside that, a man that I said noth­ing to. The secu­rity check at YVR was insane! It was incred­i­ble. I got the pat down, but had a choice between either that or the full-body scan­ner machine. I didn’t mind get­ting the pat down.. it was a lady doing it.

I made a neck­lace of ran­dom trin­kets dur­ing my time back home. It’s amaz­ing I even bother doing these things with the short break I had. I really like it though candy3icon

I left for Van­cou­ver dur­ing Mod­ern Art His­tory, and got this back right before I left the class. N A I C E! I have a good study group.

I found this lit­tle twig a while back when I was work­ing on my project for cre­ative prac­tices.. I thought it was kinda cute, so I kept it to make it into a jew­elry hanger. Of course it can’t take much weight, but I love nature.

Yes­ter­day in Graphic Design class, we started on our stop motion video. I worked with Lau­ren in the photo room with the green room / light­ing / every­thing. They usu­ally don’t let stu­dents that aren’t trained with the room in, but we were awfully lucky and were allowed in. We also used a really nice cam­era that cap­tured our shots really well!

Today I had cre­ative prac­tices class.. it was not too bad! I worked on my pat­tern project. Super excited to see how it turns out! I Love this project.

Only a lit­tle over a month until sum­mer break! I’m really excited. My roomies and I are road­trip­ping from L.A up to Van­cou­ver, and every­thing in between. peaceicon
