Bored of out my mind. Every­thing is set up, we just need some art on the wall.

Boo.. no inter­net, thus no blog­ging, but I’ve been going crazy unpack­ing and get­ting the apart­ment ready. :)

I started out on Sat­ur­day morn­ing ‚with my par­ents, to Ore­gon — where Car­o­line (my roomie) lives. We spent the night in Tigard and they dropped me off the next morn­ing @ Caro’s house in Beaverton.

There, I spent a night and we left for Sacra­mento the next morn­ing. We then spent a night in Sacra­mento and pro­ceeded the rest of the trip to LA! hehe. Our aparment is super­rrr cute ! I’m so glad we are out of Otis’s stu­dent housing.

Any­ways, the only thing we still haven’t fig­ured out is the internet.. :(

My house is too big. My par­ents want to down­size into a smaller house, and a nicer area. With me gone for most of the year and my brother usu­ally out at school or work, the house is usu­ally either empty or only my mumma at home. Right now my house has 8 rooms, 6 baths = way too much for a 4 per­son fam­ily. We only live upstairs, and the down­stairs suites are usu­ally rented out, but my par­ents are get­ting sick of deal­ing with douchebag ten­ants. I’m excited! I want to move :)

Meesh and I dur­ing draw­ing and comp class. We left the class­room to take pic­tures for our final class­room, and got bored. :)

Today I went on a run with Yiwan. I was crav­ing to run for the last 24 hours, so we ran around Colling­wood park. Hon­estly, I love the tread­mill and can’t stand run­ning out­side. I don’t know why, but I can’t last very long LOL. This pic­ture was from one time I went to the gym way too exhausted already, and ended up falling asleep on the dance stu­dio area (apart­ment). hehe.… :)

It’s been 10 years, yes­ter­day. It’s amaz­ing how time flies, yet the mem­ory still lives in me like it was.. a blink ago. I can always remem­ber because my grandpa went into the hos­pi­tal on my birth­day, and left the world only ten days later. I was the only one in the fam­ily that wasn’t present at his bed­side and it makes me so angry at myself.

Apart­ment hunting!

not really. We’ve already decided! hah! Where? Here!

My apart­ment is the best of the best in Westch­ester — you lit­er­ally can­not find any other bet­ter than it. Although the rent is on the pricey side, I would much rather live here than in the shady apart­ment that’s across the street from the school. It’s not a cer­tain deci­sion right now (wait­ing for Theresa’s par­ents approval).. but may go with a 2 bed, 2 bath 952sq ft suite, going for $2184/month. It’s actu­ally a hor­ren­dous amount of rent, but when split by 3, it’s about $800 — fea­si­ble for my par­ents as of now.

If we are able to get the apart­ment secured by the 4th, we can move our stuff in and it will be avail­able through­out the sum­mer — road trip to L.A! :)

I’ve been work­ing on my cre­ative process project lately. It’s actu­ally a jew­elry pre­sen­ta­tion box.. and again, based upon nat­ural mate­ri­als. I am excited to see it mounted on the wall! I bought the frame at Good­will for $2.99, sanded it so it looks antique, etched jew­elry images, and stained it with coffee.

Class have been going well. It’s the last weeks of class, so every­thing is calm yet bustling! Every­one wants to fin­ish up on their final projects and get it all over with! That includes me.

Here is an update on my draw­ing & comp. final project. I stayed up until 2/3AM doing this.. about 45% done, ya? It’s so messy & dries my hand!

Fri­day evening, after classes, Caro, Chris, his friend, and I decided to go to Sou­plan­ta­tion for some yummy sal­ads and soups. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM.. I wish Canada had some­thing like this! I would much rather go to an all you can eat salad and soup than AYCE fried food and burg­ers shit.

AHH!!! I’ve been uber duber busy!!!.. with school, of course.

Thurs­day, 15th

There was a screen­ing of The Cove at the Cus­tom Hotel (beside my apt), arranged by Otis. If you don’t know what it’s about, it’s basi­cally about dol­phin hunt­ing and sell­ing in Taiji, Japan. It’s an awfully sad doc­u­men­tary, but raises aware­ness about the issue. For more infor­ma­tion, click here. I would rec­om­mend it to any­one that’s truly inter­ested in these issues.

The set up was actu­ally quite cozy — at the begin­ning. Car­o­line and I decided to bring blan­kets, as it was out­side. When night fell, I was freez­ing my ass off. Because the area is near the waters AND the air­port, the tem­per­a­ture is always slightly cooler than inland.

Sat­ur­day 17th

Sat­ur­day was inter­est­ing. I unwill­ingly ended up at the beach with Car­o­line. It’s a long story and one that shouldn’t be uttered much about. In the end my back got burnt. I don’t under­stand why peo­ple want to go sun tan­ning so much though..! It’s gross!

That night, we also planned out our road trip and booked our hotel in San Fran­cisco. I’m super excited!! It’s going to be amazing.

The week­end wasn’t all that inter­est­ing, because every­one was at Coachella, an annual music fes­ti­val in Cal­i­for­nia. It attracts peo­ple all the way from New York.. and prob­a­bly even fur­ther. Unfor­tu­nately.. I didn’t go because it’s $300, PLUS you have to camp out. How­ever, I can almost bet it’s a blast.

That same evening, I worked on my draw­ing and comp final project — It’s fricken huge.

So I still have a lit­tle over a week left in L.A.. I‘m going to extremely miss it :(.. I hon­estly find myself much hap­pier being here at school, as com­pared to back in Van­cou­ver. Maybe there‘s just too many strings attached with going back.. but either way, I miss my friends and I need to go home sooner or later. I need to as well find a job over the summer !
