Had a won­der­ful weekend :)

On Thurs­day after­noon, after Caroline’s class, I met her at the school library to bor­row some books for inspi­ra­tion. I was itch­ing to just sketch. I haven’t really had time to do stuff that I want to do.. usu­ally it’s home­work 24/7, so there really is no time to sketch out ideas. I bor­rowed 4 books that are absolutely won­der­ful! There’s one I espe­cially enjoy, which is called Girly Graph­ics. It’s a Japan­ese design book that is based on ‘Girly’ designs.

Fri­day we didn’t do too much. In the evening I went with Car­o­line to hang out with Sofia and Anika.. who are both Dan­ish. It was slightly awk­ward being not able to under­stand, but it’s no biggy. We were sup­pose to head to a party.. well, we did, but at 10:45PM. Slightly late, but I’m sure that was when it began.. maybe? To sum it up, we barely stayed for an hour, shiv­er­ing in the cold.

Yes­ter­day, we said we wouldn’t do any­thing but bum around at home, and enjoy­ing being at home, but Car­o­line and I ended up going out to City Walk with Chris, Chad, Paul, Ahndi and Kelly. City Walk is in Hol­ly­wood, a part of Uni­ver­sal City / Uni­ver­sal Stu­dios. I had never been there so it was really nice to see and be a tourist ! While head­ing there, we made a pit stop and got In-N-Out Ani­mal style fries, as I had been beg­ging for them. Super yummy, but extremely heavy. The rest of the drive was a lit­tle frus­trat­ing. Los Ange­les free­way entrances are really abrupt, and we kept miss­ing them!

As we were dri­ving near Hol­ly­wood, I noticed an adorable shop.. cute eh?!

We got there around 7:30-8PMish. The rest of them ate at Bubba Gump, which is the restau­rant to go if you want shrimp. The waiter was a mean guy.. not cool! Espe­cially when the tip is ridicu­lously 18%. After fin­ish­ing eat­ing, we walked around and looked at the shops. There were ran­dom ones, like Hot Topic, Choco­late shops, candy shops, Fos­sil.. etc. There’s actu­ally not too much to it, unless you go into Uni­ver­sal Studios.

The rest of the night just con­sisted of walk­ing around. The rest left early, as Car­o­line and I spent more time on the Walk. I didn’t want to leave!! It was so pretty with all the lights. It would be fun going on a date there bow2icon

On Sat­ur­day after­noon, before head­ing to Uni­ver­sal City Walk, we were at the metal/wood shop and cut up some bam­boo. Car­o­line had picked up a bunch at Laguna beach, so we used it to make jew­elry. I think out of all the types of wood, bam­boo is def­i­nitely the most beau­ti­ful! <3. Here’s my new ring. We had just cut it with a large mitre saw and sanded it. You could prob­a­bly use the band saw.
